August – Bank Holiday Monday, 31st, Ashwell Show

We decided not to attend the show due to the heavy rain forecast on Bank Holiday Monday as we would have struggled with erecting our large tent in the rain. The show did go ahead but many people where deterred from attending.

We have recently been joined by our new Practice Manager – Caroll Young. Caroll is extremely experienced in the Veterinary field. For more information about Caroll click

We are also joined by Martine from the start of May as our new receptionist. Martine will be working at Baldock and Royston. Her profile will be added shortly.

We are delighted to sponsor Baldock Town Youth Football Club's Under 6 Team. We wish them well with their upcoming fixtures.

14th May 2013

Here at Baldock Vets we are celebrating our first birthday / anniversary and we've thoroughly enjoyed our first year working in and looking after the pets of Baldock and the surrounding areas. It seems like only yesterday that we opened our doors to our first, very quiet, day. With just one appointment and a lot of administration to do, it was a long way from the busy days we have now. We have gradually become more busy over the course of the year, with both consultations and operations building up. It has been enjoyable period, not without it's stresses or worries though!

We are now settled in to our lovely old brewery building, and enjoying the relationship we have built up with many of you and your pets, especially those unfortunate enough to have needed to revisit us frequently, along with the puppies and kittens who have revisited us mainly for fun! We would like to thank you, all our clients, for bringing your pets to us. As you may know, we are really keen to get your pets on our Facebook and Twitter sites, so please feel free to email, upload or tweet us your photos!

Don't forget that during the remainder of May we have a Vaccination Amnesty for cats and dogs whose vaccinations have lapsed and need to restart the course, with 20% off our normal prices.

We love to meet new pets so please feel free to pop in to visit us or register. Don't forget that you can introduce a friend via the form on our website or reception, and you both receive £5 off your next bill for veterinary services.

Can you see your pet in our collage? If not please feel free to send us your pictures so we can Tweet and Share them!

17th April 2013

After several months of being news-offline, we have had an exciting week as yesterday we had a first puppy party! Nurse Kath and dog trainer Nicky Visser looked after Doug and Hugo, two pugs, as well as Baiba, a Swedish vallhund, whilst they socialised and did some training. Everyone was sitting beautifully by the end! There were also some informative talks on worms, fleas, microchipping and insurance.

Baldock Day was a great success. Barry, Baldock Vets' furry friend had fun with the children whilst Nicky Visser, Back to Basics dog trainer, gave out some sound advice.
