Meet the Staff

David White MA Vet MB PhD MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

David is the Clinical Director of the practice. He has 2 grownup children, he qualified from Cambridge Vet School and has worked in many aspects of veterinary medicine including Farm Animal practice, Academia, Goverment, Industry and locums in many small animal practices. He had a prize winning herd of Charolais cattle and a flock of sheep for 20 years before coming to Royston.

In his spare time he enjoys walking his labrador "Biscotti" and cooking.

David provides veterinary cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Annalisa Accascina - Veterinary Surgeon

Annalisa graduated cum laude from the University of Pisa in Italy in 2012.

She has been working in small animal practices and hospitals in Italy, then in February 2018 she moved to the UK and joined the team.

She has a mixed breed rescued dog named India, and two border collies, Hippy and Meg, and also a cap called Tigro.

In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities such as trekking with her dogs, running, skiing and climbing, as well as cooking, reading books, travelling and photography.

Annalisa provides veterinary cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Susanne Valen DVM MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon

Susanne joined the team in Cotober 2017.

She graduated in March 2015 from Budapest, Hungary and subsequently moved to England to undertake a small animal internship at Northwest Surgeons, followed by a second one year internship at Queens Veterinary School Hospital in Cambridge.

Her main interest lies within small animal surgery and she is currently working towards a small animal surgery certificate.

Susanne lives in Cambridge with her labrador Delhi. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and has become an active rower at one of the local rowing clubs.

Susanne provides veterinary cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Imogen Sparrow RVN – Head Veterinary Nurse

Imogen qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2011 although she has been working in mixed practice for 16 years. She has always lived in Royston, but would like to go abroad and do charity work with wild and domestic animals. Imogen joined Royston Veterinary Centre and has quickly become a team asset. She also enjoys music, film, and socialising with friends and family.

Imogen provides nursing cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Natasha (Aka Tasha) RVN – Veterinary Nurse

Tasha has been a qualified Veterinary Nurse since 2009.  She lives in Benington with her husband and two children Joshua and Rosie.  Tasha also has two cats called ‘Frank’ and ‘Freddie’ and a golden retriever puppy called ‘Woody’.  She enjoys long walks with her dog, reading and swimming.

Tasha provides nursing cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Sophie Bohme - Student Veterinary Nurse

Sophie is a qualified veterinary care assistant and is currently studying for her Veterinary Nursing Course. She spends most of her spare time with her pony Clover and enjoys going on fun adventures in the countryside. She also does volunteer work and fundraising for The Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary in Essex. She also has pet Guinea Pigs and 2 dogs called "Hilda" and "Alfie".

Sophie provides nursing cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Tess Colledge - Student Veterinary Nurse

Tess is now in her final year of training here at Royston and is expected to qualify during 2018.

She has a Cocker Spaniel Cross called Harley which she enjoys taking out for long walks and a tortoise called Sheldon.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, swimming and seeing friends.

Tess provides nursing cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Caroll Young – Practice Manager

Caroll joined the practice in April 2015.

Caroll has lived in Royston for 35 years with her husband Tony. They have 2 grown up children and share their home with 2 rescue dogs, Max the Labrador and Fossa the Jack Russell.

Caroll has worked within the Veterinary field for 29 and a half years.

Her hobbies include crossword puzzles, walking, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Caroll manages both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Martine Tuck - Receptionist

Martine joined the team in May 2015. She will be working in Royston and Baldock.

Martine lives in Stotfold with her daughters, Denver and Mia. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, running, reading, listening to music and socialising with friends and family.

Katy-Louise Grose - Receptionist

Katy joined the team in January 2017.

Katy lives in Letchworth with her husband to be, 2 daughters and her fur baby toby! She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the cinema, long walks with toby and listening to music.
